Fall Sunglass Fashions

This fall season, large, stylish sunglasses are definitely in vogue. The trend towards larger sunglasses always tends to get bigger during the fall, which is when you start seeing more and more people wearing larger lenses that protect against the windy weather.

Oversized Glamour
Oversized glamour glasses are a staple of L.A. / Hollywood / celebrity fashion. A-listers like Gwen Stefani and Angelina Jolie have definitely helped popularize the trend. In the fall season, oversized glamour lenses not only look good, they also help protect your face against the gusty weather. Look for warm seasonal colors, earthy tones and textured frames.  

Aviators
Aviators are one of the most iconic styles of sunglasses. They are cool, no matter what the outfit, and because they can be worn regardless of age or gender, they have a universal appeal that means they’re likely to never go out of style. It’s during the fall season, though, that Aviators look best. Fall is the time for large jackets and layers of warm clothes, all of which looks great with Aviators. Newer variations on the traditional Aviator sunglasses include thicker, plastic frames in more varied colors.

Colored Frames

While black and neutral colored frames are still the most common kind, colored frames are starting to become a lot more popular. Colored frames can really accentuate and complement your outfit’s overall color scheme, and give your look more vibrancy and attitude. Look for warm colors this fall, like muted browns and yellows, reds  and honey shades.

The Lennon Glasses
The small round sunglasses that were made so popular the iconic Beatle are incredibly popular nowadays. Some new variations on the John Lennon sunglasses include thicker, plastic frames instead of the wire rimed frames. These make a great choice when shopping for prescription sunglasses.

Jewel Studded Frames
Though mostly popular in women’s fashion, jewel studded sunglass frames becoming more common. High-end designers like Dior and Gucci have put out gem studded and gold lacquered designs in an effort to make sunglasses not just routine fashion accessories but legitimate jewelry pieces in and of themselves. Other fashion designers have followed suit. While these designer sunglasses will obviously be more expensive, they’re sure to make you stand out in any crowd.
